Wow, we made it. A big thank you to all the parents who helped out this year, supporting your kids, the class, or coming into the school. Good work to all the students, your creative thinking and sense of humour made the class a very fun place, and learning is best when you’re having fun.
Fabulous job on the TAG video, the WAX MUSEUM, speeches, the artwork for ARTRAGEOUS, the Egyptian Warriors / Medieval Knights champions game, the Ancient Greek War Craft game, the CRAZY HUMAN TRICKS, the castles and ancient Egyptian projects, the KUNG FU FIGHTING dance, the recorder music, the sports teams that students made (track and field, soccer, basketball, volleyball), the “teachers vs students” bordenball game, the field trips (Mill of Kintail, museum of Civilization, Art Gallery, museum of Science and Technology), ACES IDOL, and so many other events. It’s been a great year!
And the blog has been interesting too. Over 50 pages, over 200 posts, and over 15 000 hits from over 75 different countries. We must be doing something right!

We had an epic ancient Greek war in the gym today (ask about it).
A new page has been added under the Art tab. It’s called Stick People, and it was an art project the students were working on today.
The students were treated to a wonderful performance today. The grade 6 classes presented their musical, “The Magical Land of OZ”.
Congratulations to N.M. and N.R. for an absolutely fabulous job at our school’s public speaking contest! Personally I thought they were better that all the other speakers 🙂 They were funny, and expressive, and did an amazing job!
The Fractions page has been updated. There is one piece of homework this weekend, to write a “Simile” poem about themselves.

Grade 5’s will be receiving a booklet today reviewing part of our unit on growth and development (puberty). Could be a good conversation starter 🙂
